So here are the reasons why this is a huge fucking deal to me. First; Up until that comment was left, I have never sent my father a snippet, link, or even humming of my music. It’s weird, I just don’t send him my music. Lets just say some of my fathers opinions are a little overwhelming when it comes to me. While I lived in Nigeria, my dad only witnessed the stages where my main medium of expression was painting, which was a longggg time ago.
Second; my dad has amazing taste in music. He would travel the world, and come home with suitcases filled with CD, you’d think he was some kinda bootlegger. Some of the samples used to make my music, where songs I first heard with him. If not for that, I’m sure a great deal of this wouldn’t have happened.
Lastly, My dad chooses his words carefully, and I seldom hear the word “impressive”. So I’m super psyched he posted that on my facebook wall.
